Meet Our Team

Experienced. Compassionate. Dedicated to Your Health.

Reg has truly put the “Speers” back in Speers Health Clinics. After stepping away from clinical practice for nearly a decade to focus on his growing family and spend time with his wife, Sharlene, Reg remained deeply engaged in the field, continuing to expand his knowledge through advanced physiotherapy education. He pursued some of the highest-level courses available in the profession, preparing him to return with renewed passion and expertise. Now back in the clinic, Reg is dedicated to helping clients achieve active, pain-free lifestyles. His approach to care is shaped by both professional excellence and personal experience. Brought up on a family farm near Rochester, a small hamlet north of Edmonton, Reg developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong love of sports. He competed at high levels, including Junior A and college hockey in Alberta, as well as wrestling and football at the University of Alberta. The discipline and drive he brought to athletics now inform the high standard of care he provides to his clients. Reg earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000 and has completed advanced training in orthopedic manual therapy. His clients value not only his skill but also his dedication, empathy, and commitment to their well-being.

For over a decade, Sharlene has played a key role in the management of Speers Health Clinics. As Clinic Manager, she oversees human resources, payroll, bookkeeping, public relations, and marketing. With a formal education and professional background in Corporate Communications and Public Relations, Sharlene brings exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills to her role. She is dedicated to ensuring every client’s experience is smooth, friendly, and stress-free, and is committed to maintaining the welcoming and professional atmosphere that sets the clinic apart. Raised in Bow Island, a small farming community in southeastern Alberta, Sharlene has always led an active lifestyle. A lifelong athlete, she has participated in various sports, including competitive and collegiate volleyball, and continues to stay active through running and daily exercise. She’s grateful to be married to Reg, one of the clinic’s physiotherapists, who helps her maintain a healthy, pain-free lifestyle. Sharlene loves spending time with Reg, their four wonderful children, and their two adorable dogs. She is also passionate about giving back to the community through volunteering and coaching her children’s sports teams.

Loida is a licensed Physiotherapist with over a decade of experience treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries in private practice settings across Alberta. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998 from Central Luzon Doctor’s Hospital Educational Institution in the Philippines and later completed continuing education at Ryerson University in Toronto after moving to Canada in 2005. Loida supports patients recovering from a wide range of conditions, including joint replacements, sprains and strains, tendinitis, and post-surgical rehab involving the neck, back, hips, knees, shoulders, and ankles. She incorporates manual therapy, dry needling (IMS), and therapeutic modalities into her treatments, and has additional training in the GLA:D® program for hip and knee osteoarthritis. Loida’s approach focuses on educating clients about the root causes of their symptoms and empowering them with personalized home programs to support long-term recovery. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family both indoors and outdoors.

Kim brings a wealth of customer service, administrative, and healthcare experience to her role at Speers Health Clinics. Originally from the Stettler area, she has spent much of her career working in client-focused roles — from managing early childhood programs to serving in seniors’ residences. Over the years, Kim has earned certifications in Early Childhood Education (Level 2), Unit Clerk studies, and Medical Office Administration from Bow Valley College. Her professional journey includes experience in hospitality, environmental services, and business operations, including payroll, hiring, onboarding, and financial management. As Office Manager and Receptionist at Speers, Kim ensures that every client feels welcomed, informed, and supported from the moment they walk through the door. Her positive energy and organizational skills keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently.
