Neilton was born in Brazil where he attained his formal education and a Physical Education degree from a Federal University. Through his involvement in teaching Phys. Ed, varsity coaching and Especial Olympics, he became interested in physical injuries, performance, function and rehabilitation.
He left Brazil to study Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University in California and graduate school at California State Polytechnic University with emphasis on exercise physiology, kinesiology and motor dysfunction.
After spending time working and traveling in South Africa, Neilton immigrated to Canada in 1985 where he raised his family and worked in acute care and private practice settings.
As a member of Speers Health Clinics, Neilton is pleased to participate and contribute to the care of patients as a part of our multi-disciplinary team.
